1940s Songstress Lyric Booklets

Two charming songstress booklets, c. 1940, which provide snippets of lyrics to thirteen songs (ragtime and musicals), most written between 1890-1920, including “The Bowery,” “Oh! You Beautiful Doll,” “I Wonder Who’s Kissing Her Now,” “Who Threw the Overalls?” “Take Me Out to the Ball Game,” and “Little Annie Rooney.” Each booklet has a hand-drawn and colored illustration on front cover, one in pink, the other in blue, with the songstress holding a book that reads “Songs 1890” and a musical notation at bottom corner. Each contains 4 typed pages bound by two fasteners at top edge. Overall VG+, with soiling and stain to one edge. Item #485
