Four (4) Circus/Sideshow Photos from San Francisco c. 1978

Each 5” x 7” black and white photograph by Steve Savage, who came to the Bay Area in 1977 after founding The Pomegranate Press earlier in the decade—two of the photos have his stamp on verso while the other two credit him. The handwritten captions on versos read “Zamila—circus performer,” “Stage Belly Dancers,” and “Tiger part of the menagerie.” In one photo the canvas banner for Alzora Turtle Girl is visible.
