Forbes Co. Boston (Forbes Lithograph Manufacturing Co. operated in Boston 1862-1930). 11.5" x 31.5" Litho on thin original paper that is linen backed and whitewashed. Seems to have been a placard (and perhaps the original was also affixed to blue linen). Overall VG. Circa. 1882 (Sparks launched in 1880, and it seems that this is the Grand Opera House in Brooklyn, which opened in 1881).
Edouin was a famous English-born comedian who spent considerable time in the States after 1870. He also performed in a number of minstrel shows, and it seems by the images of this litho that this was part of these performances as well. Unrecorded in OCLC and auction records. Item #349
