INSCRIBED by Aiken to noted woodcut artist, printmaker, designer, and author Clare Leighton: “for Clare con amore from Conrad 1964.” In 1963, both Aiken and Leighton contributed to the edition Poetry in Crystal By Steuben Glass, interpretations in crystal of thirty-one poems by contemporary American poets. Aiken contributed a poem “Harvest Morning” and Leighton contributed an engraving design to accompany another poem. A wonderful association copy between this National Book Award winner and prized artist known for her woodblock engravings. Very good +. Item #3
