Occupied Japan Automotive Factory Photographs and Book
A collection of twenty 8 x 10" black and white photographs and eleven smaller photos (many dated in late 1940s), showing factory shots, command center, workers, the Oppama Ordnance Plant, Eight Army signage, and aerial shots of land and factories. Many of the larger photos have stamps identifying these as U.S. Army Photography, many taken in Yokohama.
The book is Japan Logistical Command Ordnance: Automotive Rebuild in Japan FY-1951. Written by the Ordnance Section, Japan Logistical Command and Edited and published by Historical Section, Japan Logistical Command. Printed by Far East Command Printing and Publications Center. Contains numerous photographs by U.S. Army Signal Corps. 112 pp. VG or better in oblong pictorial wraps (soiling, chips to spine). No copies in the trade and only 1 copy found in OCLC (U.S. Army War College). Item #1282
