A nicely-realized vernacular study of negro spirituals which begins with a typed overview and commentary and includes 5 pages of hand-drawn tablature and typed lyrics of some notable spirituals, including “Go Down Moses,” “Go Tell It on the Mountain,” “Swing Low Sweet Chariot,” “In His Hands,” and “Ol’ Man River.”
