Typed envelope with Golden State Insurance Company logo to Hon. W.H. Howard of Shreveport, Louisiana, postmarked from Los Angeles, CA on Aug. 18, 1930. Includes a typed letter on Golden State Insurance letterhead to Mr. Howard SIGNED by Wm. Nickerson, Jr. Nickerson, a noted Black businessman from Texas who died in 1945, was President and co-founder of the Company, which he started in 1925. Also included is a folded 6” x 9” brochure (4 pp.) with describing in detail their insurance policies and testimonials from policyholders.
