Original Screen Printed Incredibly Strange Wrestling Poster

Measures approximately 19” x 25” with signs of having been used to advertise the event (soiling to edges, tape residue and pinholes to corners, a few tears and creases repaired with archival tape on verso, red paint mark on verso). Designed by Chuck Sperry and Ron Donovan. “Dino and Luigi Present in San Fran-Sissy-Co ‘Jerry Phalwell’s’ HOMOMANIA!” on Saturday October 6, 2001 at The Fillmore. Matches included Poontangler vs. El Homo Loco in the Evening Gown Match and Senor Bueno vs. El Pollo Diablo in a Limb Bending Arm Wrestling Match. Musical acts playing sets during the evening were The Queers, Fabulous Disaster, and The Desperation Squad.

A feature on ISW in The San Francisco Chronicle (6 May 2001) notes that “the show melds a comic book sensibility with punk rock's do- it-yourself ethos, and marries that to subversive political commentary. The result is the kind of glamorously amateurish -- and, therefore, truly wild – shenanigans.” ISW, inspired by Lucha Libre Mexican wrestling, was a wild wrestling and musical experience that ran from 1995 to around 2002.
