52 issues (1945-1952) of The Windings, the monthly company newsletter (“Published By and For the Employees of the Universal Winding Co.”), which included such things like news from various company departments, articles on the company bowling and softball leagues, gardening, campaigns, and other intriguing information and columns. Issues are non-consecutive and incomplete, with different formats and page numbers over the years. Includes Volume 1 Number 1 (May 1945), which discusses the War Bond Drive., as well as two typed and signed letters from the General Office of the company (President Raymond R. Maine?) from May 1945 with updates to the Universal Service Men and Women (10 pages total). The company moved to Cranston in 1914 and soon trademarked the Leesona brand machines and bobbins. The company aided in the war efforts in both WWI and WWII. Only one incomplete run in OCLC (Wesleyan). Item #376
