VG +. 63 pp., with contributions and prose pieces by Abraham Lincoln, Galway Kinnell, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, JFK, Louis Simpson, William Stafford, Robinson Jeffers, Walt Whitman, and Robert Creeley, among others. This is the expurgated edition, with sticker on the half-title page that reads, “The blacked-out spaces are in mourning for the poems of E.E. Cummings, for which permission was refused by Harcourt Brace.” His name and two of his poems have been blacked out, and two pages have been ripped from the book, as issued. This copy is SIGNED by Galway Kinnell at his poem “Vapor Trail Reflected in the Frog Pond.”. Item #216
