Publicity Via the Postal Card

Nashville: Broadman Supplies, 1952. First Edition. First Edition. Original Wraps, pages bound with metal fastener. Octavo. 73 pp. illustrated with more than 150 postcard designs. A VG+ copy in faded blue printed wraps with a 2” closed tear to front cover. The Foreword notes, “There are two methods of using these designs. The first is to lay very thin tracing paper over the desired card and trace the design. The second is to place the design over an illuminated piece of glass and trace the desired card onto paper or stencil. The cards may be richly enhanced by coloring or painting each card before distribution.” Jack and Edith Fellows were of the Central Baptist Theological Seminary, Department of Religious Education Administration, Kansas City, Kansas; they dedicate the book to “the men who will carry the message of Christ to the homes of the nations—The United States Postmen.” Scarce—not in auction record or commerce, and only 2 copies found in OCLC.
